International Women’s Day is a worldwide event that celebrates women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. The day also serves as a call to action for achieving equality.

We can all #BreakTheBias if we work together. Bias, whether intentional or implicit, makes it difficult for women to advance. It’s not enough to be aware that bias exists. To ensure a level playing field, action is required. We all want to live in a world where men, women, and those who identify themselves outside these two, are treated equally. One that is inclusive and free from prejudice.

At RingCentral, we value and celebrate our differences. We help and encourage our women employees to forge positive change and uplift each other by identifying, recognizing, and raising awareness of women’s accomplishments.

RingCentral is in the process of nearly closing the gender gap in the workplace. For instance, in Manila, the current employee roster shows that 44% of the total numbers of employees are female. When it comes to leadership roles, 25% of the current executive team are women. This just shows how hopeful changes take place in workplace equality between men and women.

We make sure that women have equal opportunities in business and management. As RingCentral commits to empowering women, amplifying their voices and making sure they are heard, women in our company are fairly recognized in succession planning. We highly encourage women to pursue career possibilities at all levels of the organization and we make sure to open up our talent pipeline to employees of all genders, in the same way.

Today, RingCentral reaffirms its commitment to spreading the message of gender equality and women empowerment, as well as working together to create a better workplace — and a society free of bias.

Together, let’s take a stand.

Together, let’s break the biases on women, everywhere.
